Conkers, fascinating captivating conkers. Did you know Americans call conkers buckeyes! What a strange name. The outer shell of conkers is all spiky and prickly so you would say OUCH! But the strange thing is that the conker inside is nice and smooth which is completely the opposite of the outer shell! I would like to think of them as little soldiers going out to battle with their strong armour. Marching onto the battle field, who will it be against? Conkers vs… Acorns!? who do you think would win? I am lucky to have a large horse chest nut tree in near my school. I enjoy picking up the conkers but it hurts when they fall and land on my head! OUCH!!
